Your relationship with the Alumni Association doesn’t start after you graduate. It starts now! The Alumni Association provides many programs and events for students throughout the school year to help put you in contact with one of your most valuable resources, our alumni.
Student/Alumni Networking
The Alumni Association works throughout the year to connect students and alumni, who can act as mentors and offer assistance with career and education choices. Throughout the year there are also many events and programs that allow you to meet and network with alumni from different specialties, to help you identify resources in your future field. These alumni can offer valuable advice and help throughout your educational and professional career.
Scholarships
Engaging students is one of the most important facets of the Alumni Association, and student scholarships are a large part of this engagement. Every year, the Alumni Association gives out scholarships based on service, academics and involvement to deserving students. Scholarships continue to remain a vital part of the Alumni Association’s mission to help its future members, the students.
Homecoming
Each spring, alumni from across the country gather to celebrate their alma mater and see old friends during Homecoming, and you’re invited too! Students from all colleges take this opportunity to network and connect with alumni from various professions and different areas across the United States.

Welcome Back Luncheon
At the beginning of each year, the Alumni Association and the Georgia Dental Association co-sponsor a luncheon to welcome students and faculty back to campus. The luncheon is followed by the College of Dental Medicine Welcome Back Assembly, where annual scholarships are awarded.
Student Lunch and Learn Seminars
The Alumni Association is happy to sponsor seminars throughout each academic year, bringing dental professionals and alumni onto campus to interact with students. These speakers discuss topics ranging from life after graduation to practice management.
