Georgia Health Sciences Foundation
Established in August 2008, Georgia Health Sciences Foundation accepts and manages donor funds to support the mission and strategic goals of Georgia Health Sciences University and its associated health system, focusing on the College of Allied Health Sciences, the College of Dental Medicine, the College of Graduate Studies, the College of Nursing, Georgia Health Sciences Medical Center and Georgia Health Sciences Children’s Medical Center.
Through its work, and the work of its board of directors, the foundation perpetuates the university and health system’s dedication to excellence in biomedical education, discovery and service, with the ultimate mission of leading Georgia and the world to better health.
Through the shared values of collaboration, compassion, diversity, excellence, innovation, integrity and leadership, the foundation works with the university and the health system to support:
- Building and expansion;
- Centers, department and institutes;
- Endowed chairs and professorships;
- General institution and operations;
- Adult and children’s hospitals;
- Memorials and honorariums;
- Research and clinical collaboration;
- Scholarships;
- Specific programs and disease systems.
The good work of the foundation is conducted through a dedicated board of directors that includes individuals of diverse backgrounds and experience, who are leaders in business, community service and philanthropy.
