How will I know if any of my friends/classmates are attending?
To request a list of who has RSVP'd so far, contact the alumni office at alumni@georgiahealth.edu.
How do I get directions to event sites?
Please see the GHSU campus map for directions to event sites or call the alumni office at 800-869-1113 or 706-721-3430.
Where do I park at event sites?
Please see the GHSU campus map for all available parking on campus. Homecoming weekend parking on campus is unrestricted. For Thursday and Friday events during the day, please check with the Alumni Office at 800-869-1113 for parking specifics.
Where is the mall and other area attractions?
Please visit the Convention and Visitors Bureau’s website for more information on area attractions at http://www.augustaga.org
Will I need to register for an event if there is not a fee for the event or can I just drop-in?
YES, please register! The event coordinator needs to know how many people to expect so that we can plan accordingly for meals, handouts and seating capacity. Register and let us know you’re planning to attend.
Will there be opportunity to meet the GHSU President, Provost and my college’s dean?
The President and his wife host a wonderful picnic for all attendees, guest and families. The President, provost and deans will be in attendance. College deans will also be an many college specific events throughout the weekend.
What kind of lodging is available for Homecoming?
The Office of Alumni Affairs has reserved rooms at several area hotels for those alumni and friends attending Homecoming. For a full list of area hotels and reunion assignments, please check our accommodations page.
What is the standard dress at Homecoming/Reunion events?
Homecoming events range from casual events to semiformal affairs. Please refer to the Schedule of Events online for dress at specific events.
Can I pay at the event?
Yes, payment with check and credit card will be accepted at the event.
Can I register or pay on-line?
Yes, for most events. Click here to register and pay online.
What if I have to cancel my registration?
For cancellations received by April 20, a full refund will be made after May 15. If you cancel your registration after, April 20, we cannot guarantee a full refund.
Where can I purchase GHSU items?
You can purchase GHSU paraphernalia at the campus bookstore. During Homecoming week, the campus bookstore will be open on Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. On Saturday, the hours are from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. For more information contact the bookstore at 706.721.3581 or visit their website at www.georgiahealth.edu/bookstore.
The bookstore is located in the Student Center at the corner of 15th Street and Laney Walker Boulevard.
Is there a fitness center on campus?
During Homecoming, the Wellness Center will be free to all visiting alumni. Hours of operation are 5:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For further information on the Wellness Center please call 706.721.6800 or visit their website at www.georgiahealth.edu/wellness.
